Brief Description
The Academy of Business Technology is designed to prepare students for employment and post-secondary education in business and graphic/digital design related careers. It includes integrated classroom instruction, lab practice, and either internships or Cooperative Education (On-The Job) training. Academy students must complete a three-year program of study, including vocational and academic components.

Curriculum
Academic and Digital Courses will be integrated. Teachers work as a team so that academic teachers (i.e. Language, Math, etc.) are teaching skills needed in Business and Digital Design Careers, and Digital Design courses teach academic skills that relate to Business and Digital Design. Students will be able to obtain in the following Industry Certifications in Microsoft Office and Adobe:
Digital Design Program
9th Grade: Computing for Colleges and Careers—Pre-requisite
10th Grade: Digital Design I
11th Grade: Digital Design II
12th Grade: Digital Design III, Cooperative Education, Internship

Dual Enrolment course can be taken at Florida Gateway College to supplement the curriculum to help reach these career opportunities.
DCHS FBLA
Future Business Leaders of America stresses the recognition and promotion of the worth and dignity of each member and the development of leadership skills. Participation in FBLA helps to foster integrity, enthusiasm and devotion to a career in a business related area
