Adult Welding Classes

This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare PMT for employment in the welding industry. The content includes but is not limited to planning, management, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues. Students are taught to gas weld, arc weld, TIG Weld, and pipe weld. All students are given the opportunity to become American Welding Society Certified Welders.

PMT0072--Welder, SMAW 1
PMT0073--Welder, SMAW 2
PMT0074--Welder

Advanced Welding Courses include:
PMT0075--Advanced Welder 1
PMT0076--Advanced Welder 2

Classes are held at the following location and times:
Dixie County High School
Prince B. Oliver Vocational Campus
Welding Lab (Located next to the Agriculture Fields)

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00PM-10:00PM

To register for classes students must provide a State Photo ID, Social Security Card or Birth Certificate, and Proof of Residency (i.e. Utility Bill). A copy of a State of Florida High School Diploma, High School transcripts or a copy of a GED® are required to determine if the students must take the TABE.

Tuition for Adult Welding is $2.33 per hour. Please see the Adult Welding calendar for the 2016-2017 school year to determine actual costs at time of enrollment.
