SUPERINTENDENT RAINS TO SERVE

AS FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF DISTRICT SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENTS

BOARD OF DIRECTOR

The Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS) has chosen Dixie County Superintendent of Schools Mark A. Rains to serve as one of seven state Board of Directors. Superintendent Rains represents Region III, which includes fourteen counties. As a Board of Director, Superintendent Rains will be involved in FADSS training, setting agendas for FADSS meetings, lobbying legislative issues for FADSS, and representing the organization in various capacities. Superintendent Rains is a thirty-three year employee of Dixie District Schools and is in his second term as School Superintendent. Upon being notified of this selection, Superintendent Rains stated, “I am honored to serve the FADSS organization on the state level. I believe my service in this capacity will ultimately benefit my top priority, which is serving our children in Dixie County.”
